The MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) is a 6-week long programme spread across six months for media practitioners in the Nigerian
The six-month, fully funded fellowship for Nigerian media practitioners is designed to support the sustainable development of the nation’s changing media scene. It is open to media practitioners across the spectrum, including print, electronic, online platforms and social media content creators.
The course is designed to give participants a greater understanding of Nigeria’s technology sector and the nexus between media and technology; it will also leave participants better able to adapt to changing realities. Fellows will also have access to professional resources and mentorship from the SMC faculty.

The MTN Media Innovation Programme could not have come at a better time for Nigerian media practitioners to imbibe these pertinent values,” Professor Enase Okonedo, Vice Chancellor, Pan-Atlantic University, added.
The programme will increase the knowledge and skill base of the participants and help them understand the changing media landscape, and how to effectively use technology to create impactful media content.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
…to stir innovation and equip media practitioners with improved ways of practice and create sustainability in the industry
33 Days in Class: All accepted candidates will spend 33 days in class in the course of the training.
7 Days in South Africa: An all expense paid trip to SouthAfrica for a 7 days training.
1 Day in MTN Nigeria Headquarters: Candidates will be tutored at the MTN Nigeria Headquarters and MTN Group Headquarters.
1 Day at the Innovation Hub: A one day training at the Innovation Hub.
About MTN Foundation
The MTN Foundation scholarship scheme seeks to attract high performing full time students studying in public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics and colleges of education) in Nigeria. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who might otherwise be unable to pay for their tertiary education and aims to recognize and reward academic excellence..
